Texas Edition

The past few months have been extremely active for the GAINSCO Auto Insurance Show Car Program. Most of that time was spent on the road in Texas. Almost all of the GAINSCO Territory Managers were brand new to show car events and our Red Dragon race car. It is always a pleasure to be part of and share in the effort, hard work, joy—and hopefully production that a successful GAINSCO show event can bring to the partnership between TM and agent. In total, there were 23 agents, and three conventions that hosted The Red Dragon during this Texas-sized show car circuit! At about the halfway point of the journey, we encountered some new and uncharted territory, as the show car program got the call to attend our first IAAI convention in Gulf Shores, Alabama. In anticipation of entering the state by the end of the year, GAINSCO Auto Insurance wanted to make some early introductions. I think it went very well, it seemed like the state and agents could not wait to start writing business with us!

Afterward, it was back to business for some much needed time in South Texas. Speaking of new and uncharted territory, as far as the show car program is involved, we made our first trip to Brownsville, TX for a show car event with one lucky agency. Premier Group Insurance is pictured above with South Texas Sales Manager Devin Bryant and TM Kimberly Garst. This landmark event was made possible in large part by GAINSCO opening up the territory for a sales position and finding the right person for the job. Kimberly got the Texas part of the Gulf Coast road trip started out in The Valley, then relayed over to South Houston TMs Haleigh Lefebvre and Isadora Breeding for stops in Clute, Lake Jackson, and Victoria. Amid the two month long circuit, 90 percent of Texas TM’s hosted their first show car events! So, this “On the Road” is a toast and a cheers to everyone who helped keep this show on the road!

Uncle show car driver was the hero who brought the race car and fun to his four niece’s small town, in Paradise TX at Freedom Insurance.

Marketing sent their newest recruits; Shelly and Mercedes to help us out at Jagwan Insurance & Financial Services in Garland TX.

U-Save Insurance in Victoria TX was all about a racing show car event! They wore our GAINSCO Racing suits and even had their own red Audi R8!

Sweet Rides

On display at the Marriott Rivercenter for a different event, was this very rare Ultimate Series McLaren Senna hypercar! I told my son it was a million dollar car, it blew his mind.

A local biker group joined us for the day at AI United in Lake Jackson TX. The owner of this custom Big Dog Mastiff Chopper let me hop on and rev it up!

Only In….

Only In…the midst of an epic show car circuit would an event pop up on Easter weekend that would give the kids (as promised) an Easter egg hunt, and we sure did give them one!

Only In…the Texas Gulf Coast town of Portland is everybody a fisherman! None as innovative as this angler’s tailgating beach casting setup. Apparently it stays on the truck full time!

Travels

Working hard at the IAAI convention in Gulf Shores AL. The sand was so clean it squeaked when you walk on it.

Traveling The Valley for show car events with TM Kimberly Garst, Corpus Christi became home base for about a week. The beach had a nice wide paved boardwalk just begging to be carved so, my family and I put the wheels down and cruised.

While finishing up the last leg of this epic circuit, culminating in Houston’s south territory, I treated the family to the Ocean Village Hotel right on the beach in Surfside TX. We loved it, especially breakfast outside with a view and breeze.
