Somewhere in the middle! Almost centrally located between all of the GAINSCO Auto Insurance® territories is their Texas-sized headquarters! The month of May is typically spent branching out from the Dallas office and working with as many of our Texas partner agents as possible!  The GAINSCO Lone Star State TMs kept me busier than ever, and this year the BDAs wanted a big part of the action, getting in a dash of TX and a full week in Oklahoma! It was hot, hard work that spanned over a month of Red Dragon show car events.

None was more important than attending the Professional Insurance Agents of Texas annual convention with the GAINSCO show car and racing simulator, which had been in the works for years, but had just not worked out until now! What a perfect time too, being held in Arlington TX—just down the highway from GAINSCO headquarters, and allowing almost all of the Texas sales team (pictured above) including new Sr. V.P. of Field Operations Michael Johnston to attend and accept the PIA TX Company of the Year Award!

TM Yvette Tepichin and I playing the friendly and outgoing Maskimals role for A-Max Auto Insurance at their show car event in San Antonio TX. I think make great GAINSCO mascots!

GAINSCO Claims Adjuster Jason Brantner’s son Ryder is a Red Dragon super fan, and he and his mom came to see the No. 99 race car at Select Insurance in Greenville TX.

The BDAs and Product Director Sunthary Murphy bouncing off the walls of the jump house at Cross Insurance in Okmulgee OK.

The girls of A-Friendly Insurance Agency in Tyler TX striking a pose while taking a break from working their busy show car event!

Sweet Rides

This modified 2001 4×4 Isuzu VehiCROSS rolled up to our show car event at Paisanos Insurance in San Antonio TX. One of my favorite off-road SUVs, I always loved the futuristic styling!

I came across this super clean 2006 Lamborghini Gallardo Coupe at the gym near the PIA TX convention in Arlington TX.

Good Eats

The BDAs and I tasting Oklahoma’s culinary history at Sid’s Diner in El Reno OK. The “Onion Burger” has paper-thin onions pressed directly into a flattened patty and then cooked and crisped.

A-Friendly Insurance Agency in Tyler TX had local catered street tacos at their show car event, and they were simply amazing!

That’s BDA Kolin in front of the Midgley Museum, a rock house located in the city of Enid, Oklahoma. It’s unique in that it is built from a collection of rocks, fossils, and petrified wood. There are 34 different kinds of stones used in the building.

Heather and Kolin finished up their tour of Oklahoma in Lawton but on the way there snapped this photo in front of the historic Route 66 Monument after a bite to eat and walk around the small quaint downtown of El Reno, OK.
