Over the holidays and through warm Arizona climates we went, for tons of sunny show car events! Souls were excited as the engine ignited and revved to the limit for all ears to hear it. The GAINSCO Red Dragon™ show car was thrust into action as cameras were snapping; the photos were catching faces of joy for all of the good girls and boys! There is no cooler red sleigh than the No. 99 with a loud race engine in its bay. After spending a very productive holiday season in Arizona for work and family vacation, I am back at it and already planning the first show car circuit of 2018 so stay tuned for that.

GAINSCO Territory Managers Nicole Jackson and Taylor Jerbasi kept me very busy with show car events at their partner agents throughout the entire state.  The guys at Buy Low Cost Insurance in Tucson AZ had the first crack at it, and by the end of the day were already trying to find a way to have another show car event. As luck would have it, they got another opportunity when two different GAINSCO partner agents on the other side of the state had to cancel last minute. Buy Low Cost Insurance has an exclusive partnership with Premier Auto Center Dealerships in Tucson (pictured above), and they were able to schedule a holiday grand opening show car event for one their newest locations. Customers got pictures with the race car, lunch, and GAINSCO Auto Insurance policies to go with their new cars!

Estrella Insurance in Tucson partnered up with a local radio station to do a big multi-turkey holiday giveaway at their show car event. The turnout was big!

My son Des got to invite his best friend Michael to check out “his” cool red race car and have hot dogs for lunch at Driven Insurance in Phoenix.

The crew at Allprice Insurance in Cottonwood AZ always knows how to have a good time at a GAINSCO show car event.

TM Taylor Jerbasi brought her family to see the GAINSCO Red Dragon up close and in person. Her son Titan loved the car but had to warm up to it first.

Sweet Rides

John Hill at El Dorado Insurance is a true car guy who runs a car club, and has worked on everything, including vintage pedal cars. What an amazing job he did on this.

The patina pickup project. My buddy’s 1976 Chevy C10 original 454 big block -just back from a complete engine rebuild. He couldn’t wait to show it off to me.

Good Eats

A big thank you to Buy Low Cost Insurance in Tucson for making us fresh carne asada tacos and guacamole! It was delicious, one of the best tacos I have ever eaten!

My family and I made approx. 400 tamales this year, and it took us around 8 hours from start to finish. Almost caught the kitchen on fire but we got the job done!

My son Des celebrated his 4th birthday with all of his cousins at grandma’s house in Arizona. He was very specific about wanting a “crashing cars rainbow cake.”

Before leaving town I was able to attend the Cactus Bowl Game- UCLA Bruins vs. Kansas St. Wildcats at Chase Field in Phoenix AZ. It was a fun game with some exciting big plays.
