New faces in familiar places

The start of the 2017 GAINSCO Show Car season kicked off with a two-part circuit that saw a Florida to Arizona road trip with plenty of new faces in familiar places! Most notable was the first stop at Sebring International Raceway for a testing with the newest face to the GAINSCO/Bob Stallings Racing family, the beautiful 2017 GAINSCO Auto Insurance® Porsche 911 GT 3 R. Fresh off the production line (built with the help of our team), this was the first real test for the new Red Dragon™. While the team and a few select GAINSCO Auto Insurance VIPs were getting up close and personal with the new car when it wasn’t on the track, we also brought out the 2015 GAINSCO Racing Pirelli World Challenge GTS Hyundai Genesis race car for some hot laps, driven by none other than our very own Bob Stallings!

GAINSCO Auto Insurance hosted their Florida sales team at the track, where Bob drove hot laps with them in the Hyundai Genesis as he explained at 150mph+ his patented pitch: “Selling GAINSCO policies makes the race car faster.” This was quite the welcome mat rollout for Florida’s newest GAINSCO Territory Mangers: Chuck Bush and Teri Brown. They are pictured above with seasoned veteran Ray Lozano (from left to right: Ray, Chuck, and Teri), as they get ready for the ride of their lives! Of course, after that they were so excited for show car events with their partner agents, they couldn’t contain their enthusiasm. After a pit stop back in the Dallas office for a few days, I was then off to Arizona, who did not get an official show car circuit last year. I found TM Nicole Jackson introducing me to a new face out west, her new AZ teammate Taylor Jerbasi. While partnering with some familiar top-producing agents to host a round of show car events, Taylor was able to co-host her first GAINSCO show car event in Tucson AZ.

Great Florida Insurance was all in for their show car event in Ft. Myers FL. They had plenty of extra help to pass out some cool race themed goodies.

Allprice Insurance in Cottonwood AZ has a very visible location on the main drag and everybody in town can see the car!

El Bodegon Insurance in Lake Worth FL invited some of their other vendors to join in their event. The Total MD Urgent Care crew poses with the car in between handing out gift bags.

The L.A. Insurance group in Tucson AZ has hosted a few show car events over the years and was a perfect fit for new GAINSCO TM Taylor Jerbasi (in red) to get her feet wet!

Sweet Rides

Check Nicole Jackson’s custom GAINSCO branded 2016 all-wheel drive Hyundai Santa Fe Limited. Just one of the prizes for winning the annual TM Challenge Championship.

Northern AZ was hit with a few snow storms in March, and I happened to see these cool “Ski Bikes” in Flagstaff AZ, even equipped with shocks and a horn!

Good Eats

In the right place at the right time! I was treated to local King Cake after a pit stop at the Mississippi Visitors Center at the LA/MS border during Mardi Gras. I did not get a plastic baby in my slice.

Wearing green on St. Patty’s Day and getting my favorite homemade Irish meal, corned beef and cabbage. Lucky me!

Travels

In Florida…and looking to avoid Daytona 500 traffic…why not drive right on the sand and have a beach day? The GAINSCO tent worked great for lounging in the hammock. My son loved it.

Who would have thought during spring break in AZ that Arizona Snowbowl ski resort would be open and have fresh new snow? I had to take full advantage of it!
