Texas based “Hometown Heroes” GAINSCO/Bob Stallings Racing won the inaugural GRAND-AM of The Americas race presented by GAINSCO and TOTAL in Austin TX on March 2, 2013 in front of 500 GAINSCO Auto Insurance® employees and agents. The big win was long overdue as the team’s last victory dates back to 2011. The race was a huge success as GAINSCO Auto Insurance® and GAINSCO/Bob Stallings Racing capitalized on the “trifecta” by co-sponsoring the GRAND-AM of The Americas, getting the pole position, and winning the race! Adding to the weekend’s success was the debut of GAINSCO’s 2013 Corvette Daytona Prototype show car - displayed on the grand plaza to turn race goers into GAINSCO/Bob Stallings fans by giving them an up-close look at the soon-to-be winning team. The new show car was immediately enlisted into action after the race for the rest of the 2013 GAINSCO show car circuit, headed to Arizona for several GAINSCO Auto Insurance® events in Tucson and Phoenix.
