About the No. 99 show car
A massive crash of the No. 99 Daytona Prototype on the Long Beach street course in 2006 was not all bad news.
Out of that wreckage was born GAINSCO’s show car program. Now, the rebuilt No. 99 show car headlines events throughout each year in the states where GAINSCO markets its personal auto policies (Arizona, Florida, Georgia, New Mexico, Oklahoma, South Carolina, and Texas).
With over 200 appearances annually, the program generates enthusiasm among race fans, GAINSCO policyholders, and insurance agents alike, providing an up-close view of the excitement and technology of high-speed road racing.
